Rose Hatmaker is from Walton, Kentucky and has a Bachelor Degree in Fine Art and an Associate Degree in Art History. She has studied abroad in England, France, and Scotland under the guidance of Barb Rauf. Her art has been displayed most recently at Art Beyond Boundaries and Thomas More College. She has two permanent pieces at Thomas More College and Cilo Gallery. She does portraits on request and private lessons at her home.
The artwork is oil paints, acrylic, pencil, and charcoal drawings as well as some sculpted works. It ranges from realism art to abstract and it usually reveals some history of the subject or some inner pain and sometimes it shows the beauty within. The artists that inspire her are Georgia O’Keefe, Vincent Van Gogh, and Norman Rockwell.
