Carole Douglas was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. A graduate of Walnut Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati, she taught in Cincinnati Public Schools and retired from the Cincinnati Recreation Commission after 28 years of teaching arts and crafts. “Three by Three is an embroidered multi-media piece composed of fabric and beads,” She said. “I kept my media separate for most of my career. Retirement gave me the opportunity to meet like-minded artists who were combining their varied skills to create single works. Art continues to be a learning experience,” Douglas explained. Douglas is a member of Art 4Artists, the Greater Cincinnati Quilters Guild and the Cincinnati Book Arts Society. She is also on the steering committee for Art Beyond Boundaries.
